Root
Landscape & Alterations
When a seed of information has been manifested it is time to plant it into your garden. We can provide a quote for the work decided on from the seed phase and then indeed get to work physically constructing your garden. This again will differ depending on the size and complexity of the job and whether it is a full garden re-design and build, partial re-build, hard or soft landscaping or initial clearance/maintenance before continual maintenance. All jobs will be quoted for on the basis of proposed labour time calculated from the hourly maintenance rate plus the cost of materials and provided as a lump sum price. Sometimes a maintenance programme may mean this root phase is skipped and we go straight into continual garden maintenance visits arranged from a programme.
Grow
Garden maintenance & Engagement
When the seed has been planted and has taken root, Spring will inevitably come with all its Spring showers and sunny intervals and this means growth and growth means maintenance! With your growing engagement and confidence in the garden you may well want to maintain your garden yourself but for that helping hand and continued advice and encouragement we can propose a suitable maintenance programme to suit your needs going forward. We will cover all gardening needs relevant to the season including lawn cutting, treatment and general maintenance, hedge trimming, renovation or clearance, bed maintenance and feeding, shrub and perennial pruning and planting.
Maintenance is charged by the hour and there are two rates:
Head Gardener = £20.00 per hour
Assistant Gardener = £17.50 per hour
Usual practice will be to make a maintenance visit as a team of two; one head gardener and one assistant. This therefore makes an hourly rate of £18.75 as an average. For example, a two-man hour visit would be two men on site for an hour. £20.00 charged for the head and £17.50 charged for the assistant. The total due then would be £37.50.
An annual maintenance programme can be devised to include weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits. Maintenance can either be invoiced for monthly or a standing order can be set up in line with the annual maintenance programme.
